Coral Reef Snorkel
Drift through one of the Caribbean's most biodiverse reef systems — hawksbill turtles, spotted eagle rays, and schools of fish so dense they block the light.
Surf School & Breaks
Bocas has world-class waves — from gentle beginner beach breaks to the legendary hollow swells of Bluff Beach. All levels welcome.
Mangrove Kayak
Paddle through cathedral mangrove channels — silent, otherworldly passages where the roots form walls and birds move through the canopy above.
Dolphin & Wildlife Boat Tour
Bottlenose dolphin pods ride the bow wave in these waters year-round. This full-day tour also visits Sloth Island, Bocas del Drago, and Starfish Beach.
Guided Scuba Diving
Descend the dramatic reef walls — sponges, sea fans, moray eels, and rare deep-water species. PADI certification available through Aventra's dive partners.
Catamaran Sailing
Day cruises and sunset sails across the turquoise archipelago. Includes snorkeling stops and access to remote anchorages reachable only by sail.
Rainforest Trek — Bastimentos Park
Hike through Panama's first marine national park with a naturalist guide who knows every bird call, medicinal plant, and hidden viewpoint.
Hidden Waterfall Expedition
A half-day trek to one of the archipelago's secret waterfall pools. Swimming in fresh jungle water with the forest canopy overhead. Limited to 8 people.
Canopy Tower — Archipelago View
Climb above the forest canopy and see the entire Bocas del Toro archipelago from above — a 360° panorama from mountains to reef.
ATV Jungle & Beach Trails
Where the road ends, the adventure begins. ATV trails cut through dense jungle to hidden beaches and old ruins only accessible off-road.
Sloth Island Float
Three-toed sloths hang in the mangroves of this protected islet. Observed from the boat — intimate, never disturbed.
Bat Cave — Cueva de Murciélagos
A protected cave system home to thousands of bats, whip scorpions, and caiman. Managed by a local family for generations.
Zapatilla & Starfish Beach Day
Uninhabited Zapatilla Island (Panama Survivor filming location) and Starfish Beach where ochre sea stars crowd the shallows in the hundreds.
Bird Watching at Bird Island
Bocas sits in one of the richest avian corridors in the hemisphere. Nesting frigates, red-billed tropicbirds, and migratory species. Binoculars and field guides provided.
Sunset Sailing & Dinner
The Caribbean sky over Bocas at dusk is a masterwork. Small-group catamaran timed to golden hour, with local food and drinks.
Ngäbe & Afro-Caribbean Village
The islands' indigenous and Afro-Caribbean communities. A respectful cultural immersion — food, music, craft, and conversation.
Sport Fishing Charter
Deep-sea and reef fishing — marlin, tuna, snapper, and tarpon. Catch-and-release or prepare your catch at the Aventra kitchen.
Tai Nuare
The journey to Escudo de Veraguas.
One of the most remote and extraordinary islands in Central America — an 8-hour catamaran sail from Bocas del Toro, made famous in the opening scene of Planet Earth II when a pygmy sloth swam through impossibly clear turquoise water. Escudo is home to a species of sloth found nowhere else on earth.
This is Aventra's flagship expedition — offered as a multi-day sailing journey for small groups of residents. Overnight anchoring, remote reef snorkeling, and the profound experience of leaving the world entirely behind.
